'Kids Day' Comes to Stratford Farmers Market

This healthy, back-to-school event will feature gardening activities, yoga demos and more.

The Town of Stratford will be holding “Kids Day” at the Stratford Farmers Market on Monday, August 29th from 2 – 4 p.m. at Paradise Green in Stratford, CT. This healthy, back-to-school event will feature gardening activities, yoga demos, healthy cooking, touch-a-truck with the Stratford Fire Department, story-time with the Stratford Library, health and safety info, free giveaways and more! Story-time will begin at 2:45 p.m. and yoga will begin at 3:15 p.m. Visit the Stratford Health Department’s Facebook page for updates on the schedule of events at www.facebook.com/StratfordHealthDepartmentCT/. The event is free of charge.

Kids Day at the Stratford Farmers Market is part of a larger initiative to increase access to healthy, locally grown foods as a partner with Get Healthy CT Coalition. Get Healthy CT (GHCT) is a coalition of businesses and community organizations, including Bridgeport Hospital, St. Vincent’s Medical Center, local health departments and social service agencies, collaborating to prevent and reduce obesity in the greater Bridgeport and New Haven regions.
