STRATFORD, CT — A large tree fell on a Stratford house, but caused no damage, according to the town fire marshal.

The tree fell about 1 p.m. Thursday on the Lindsley Place home, according to Fire Marshal Brian Lampart, after a night of heavy wind and rain in the area.

"I can only assume it's weather related," he said.

The tree had two trunks, each of which was about 18 inches wide, according to Lampart. Remarkably, the fall did not damage the house or cause any injuries.

"It must have been a slow-moving tree," Lampart said.
