Man Accused Of Robbing 4 Banks, Including 2 In Stratford: Police
The man is charged in connection with four bank robberies in late 2020 across Fairfield County, including two in Stratford, police said.

STRATFORD, CT — A man was arrested Friday on charges connected to bank robberies that occurred last year in Fairfield, New Canaan and Stratford, according to police.
Wayne Currier, of New Canaan, is charged with three counts of first-degree robbery as well as one count of second-degree robbery and second-degree larceny, Stratford police said in a news release.
The charges are associated with robberies at the following banks, according to police:

- Oct. 13: Fairfield People’s Bank, Stratford Chase Bank
- Oct. 28: New Canaan People’s Bank
- Dec. 23: Stratford TD Bank
The investigation — which was a collaborative effort between Fairfield, New Canaan and Stratford detectives — is ongoing, police said.
