Man Bit Worker During Dispute At Stratford Grocery Store: Report

The man left the store with $32 worth of Clorox wipes and bit the hand of an employee who tried to stop him, a report said.

STRATFORD, CT — A Milford man is accused of biting a Stratford grocery store employee who was trying to stop him from stealing Clorox wipes, according to the Connecticut Post.

Nicholas Goerig is charged with robbery, assault and several other offenses after the incident Monday at CTown supermarket, 360 Boston Ave., the Post reported. Goerig left the store with $32 worth of disinfecting wipes and then bit the hand of an employee who was attempting to prevent Goerig from driving away, according to the newspaper.

Goerig, 41, of Summit Avenue, was arraigned Tuesday and ordered held on $50,000 bond, according to the Post, which reported his next court date is March 23.
