Man Charged In Shooting In Stratford: Police

Police are continuing to investigate the shooting and are asking witnesses to contact them.

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man has been arrested in connection with a shooting that happened earlier this month, according to police.

The shooting happened on Garibaldi Avenue in Stratford on June 1, according to Capt. Frank Eannotti.

Kevin Beason, 23, was arrested on a warrant Thursday and charged with criminal attempt at first-degree assault, reckless endangerment, weapon in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a firearm and carrying a pistol without a permit.

He was held in lieu of a $250,000 bond with a court date of July 15.

Eannotti said there were several witnesses to the shooting, and investigators are asking anyone with more information to contact Detective Torres or Detective Policano at 203-381-2098.
