More Than 700 Quarantined In Stratford School District

The Stratford school district reported seven new coronavirus cases Tuesday.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford schools reported seven new coronavirus cases Tuesday as quarantine numbers continued to increase, with nearly 750 people in quarantine across the school district.

Franklin Elementary School and Bunnell High School each saw two new virus cases Tuesday, while Flood Middle School, Wooster Middle School and Johnson House Elementary School each saw one case, according to a message to parents and staff.

Bunnell and Johnson House are currently operating with an online-only learning schedule due to the effects of the virus, as are Stratford High School and Nichols Elementary School.

District-wide as of early Wednesday, 44 students and 10 staff members were in isolation with the virus, and 742 students and staffers were quarantined, according to the district dashboard, which reflects the most current available numbers. Bunnell had the highest numbers by far, accounting for 15 cases and 283 people in quarantine.
