Multiple Vehicle Fires Extinguished On I-95 In Stratford
Crews extinguished a dump truck fire and then responded to an accident with a vehicle fire on I-95 in Stratford, according to officials.
STRATFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished multiple vehicle fires on I-95 in Stratford on Sunday night, according to officials.
Crews responded to a dump truck fire on I-95 South around 9 p.m. Arriving crews found a dump truck engulfed in flames right on the Bridgeport town line, officials said.
“The fire was quickly extinguished and units remained on scene until the highway was cleared,” officials wrote in a post on the Stratford Professional Firefighters Local 998 Union’s Facebook page. “Bridgeport Fire also responded.”

As crews were clearing the dump truck fire, they were alerted to another motor vehicle accident in the area of Exit 32 with one vehicle on fire, according to officials.
“That fire was also quickly extinguished and the occupants were evaluated for minor injuries from the crash,” officials said.
