STRATFORD, CT — An Army National Guard officer was arrested this week after authorities said he threatened to shoot up a school in Stratford in a post on social media, according to the Connecticut Post.

The Post reports Jaebets Kayembe, 23, is accused of posting a photo on Snapchat that showed him holding an AR-15 with an optical sight while making the threat.

Kayembe’s platoon leader told police that Kayembe, who has been in the National Guard for four years, admitted posting the photo and comments but claimed it was a joke, according to the Post.
