Obituary: Edward Jalbert, 89

Edward A. Jalbert, age 89, of Stratford beloved husband of Hilda Lizotte Jalbert, passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013 in Golden Hill HCC, Milford.

Mr. Jalbert, a WWII Veteran of the U.S. Army was born in Lawrence, Mass. to the late Adelard and Eva (Page) Jalbert and has been a longtime area resident. He was a retired machinist for AVCO.

Survivors in addition to his beloved wife of 68 years, include his devoted son Donald Jalbert of West Haven, two grandchildren Dawn Sutton and her husband John, and David Jalbert and his wife Mara, four great-grandchildren Hannah, Chase, Reid, and Grayson, two sisters Doris Ciaffone of Stratford and Anita Hawley of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 18 at 8:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford, and at 9 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m.
