Obituary: Gisela (Dase) Coyne, 75, of Stratford
Gisela adored her family unconditionally and served as an RN at St. Vincent's Hospital for many years.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Gisela (Dase) Coyne, age 75 of the Lordship section of Stratford, wife of the late Edmund Coyne, died on June 15, 2021.
Gisela attended St. Vincent’s nursing school and had a long career as an RN at St. Vincent’s Hospital. Gisela was honest and fair, and she loved being a nurse.
Above all, she cherished her grandchildren unconditionally.
Gisela is survived by her grandchildren, Trevor Coyne St. John and Emma Chase St. John; her sisters, Helga Steinhuebel, of Greenwich and W Motylenski of Port Murray, NJ; her son-in-law, Atty Thomas St. John IV, of Oxford; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her husband, Ed, Gisela was predeceased by her daughter, Atty Jennifer Erin Coyne St. John.
Friends are invited to greet the family on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 at 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 pm at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 2:00 pm at Our Lady of Peace, 651 Stratford Road, Stratford.
Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Gisela’s memory to Our Lady of Peace Church.
