Joan M. Somick age 72 of Stratford passed away peacefully on Sept. 13, 2013 in Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side.
Joan was born on June 12, 1941 in Bridgeport and was the loving daughter of the late Alexander (Al) and Mary Stich Somick. She was a long-time member of the Jednota Branch #19.
Joan is survived by her devoted sister, Dorothy Monoski of Stratford, nephew John C. Monoski, niece Deborah Chmielewski and two grand nieces, Sara and Dana Chmielewski.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the 3rd Floor at Lord Chamberlain Nursing Facility with a special thanks to, Gladys, Nancy and Liz.
In addition to her parents, Joan was also predeceased by her brother-in-law John Monoski.
