Obituary: Karen Lynn Shulick, 30

Karen Lynn Shulick, age 30, of Stratford, beloved daughter of George and Sandra (Ciaffone) Shulick passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2013 in Gaylord Specialty Hospital in Wallingford.

Born on September 1, 1982 a true Angel to her family, and has been a lifelong long Stratford resident.

Karen attended Harborview Next Step Program in Stratford, where she met many friends. Her family would like to thank the staff for their care, friendship and kindness.

In addition to her parents, Karen is survived by her loving brother Michael Shulick, her maternal grandmother Doris Ciaffone all of Stratford her godmother Maria Bertone and godfather William Knapik and many cousins. She was predeceased by her grandparents, George and Helen Shulick and Michael Ciaffone and an uncle Joseph Shulick.

The Shulick family would like to extend a special thanks to Elaine Lewis who was Karen’s aide for the past 10 years and the staff of Bridgeport Hospital MICU and the Gaylord Specialty Hospital for the care given and the kindness shown to their princess.

Karen had touched many lives during her short time in this world.

Funeral Services will take place on Monday, July 29, 2013 at 11:15 a.m. in the Adzima Funeral Home, 50 Paradise Green Place, Stratford and at 12 p.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 407 Second Hill Lane, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial.

Interment will be in St. John’s Cemetery Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
