Obituary:Norma Cecilia Velasco Velastegui Lopez, 66, of Stratford
Norma, always loving and devoted to her family, was passionate about gardening, cooking, traveling and shopping.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Norma Cecilia Velasco Velastegui Lopez, 66, of Stratford, CT, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 27, 2021. She was born in Ecuador on September 6, 1954, to Abraham and Luz (Lopez) Velastegui.
She was passionate about gardening, cooking, traveling, shopping (at Lord and Taylor), swimming, and her extensive, unique pin collections.
She will always be remembered as the greatest Mother, Grandmother, Wife, Sister, and Friend. Kind and loving, Norma was always there to lend a helping hand.
Her wisdom will live on with her legacy. She believed in loving faithfully, working hard, and trusting in loved ones. Her sense of humor was as unmatched as her kind words. We will treasure her memory deep in our hearts forever.
After a happy and full life, Norma will be truly missed and forever loved by her husband, Luis Velasco Sr., and her children Luis Velasco Jr., Cristina Hereford, and son-in-law Sergio Hereford. She will be missed by her six grandchildren: Analisa, Edy, Luz, Emma, Cesar, and Sergio. She is survived by her mother, Luz Lopez, and her eleven siblings: Alicia, Rodrigo, Marcelo, Hernando, Bolivar, Guadalupe, Monica, Marlene, Manico, Jose, and Giovanni, and many beloved nephews and nieces.
A walkthrough visitation will be held on Monday from 4 P.M. to 7 P.M. at the Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford. Guests are asked to wear masks and practice social distancing. Please pay your respects and exit without lingering to ensure others may visit.
