Obituary: Roman F. Garbacik, 74, of Stratford
Roman served as an accomplished attorney spanning nearly 50 years and was the founder of the Bank of Southington.
STRATFORD, CT - (From Pistey Funeral Home) Roman F. Garbacik was called home to the Lord on April 29, 2021. Roman was born in Bridgeport, CT on December 4, 1946, son of the late Anne (DeSimone) and Roman E. Garbacik.
Roman was a 1964 graduate of Bunnell High School in Stratford and 1973 UCONN JD graduate.
Roman led an illustrious career as an attorney spanning nearly 50 years. He had such accomplishments as creating the Bank of Southington, running for various political offices, and working as a producer in the record and film industries.
Roman proudly served his country when called upon in Vietnam with the 14 Combat Engineers from 1969 to 1971.
Roman found it incredibly rewarding to serve his community and clients, but the thing he took pride in most was being a father, friend, and family man.
Roman will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He leaves behind his 3 children, sons Roman E. Garbacik and Adam J. Garbacik, and daughter Kathryn Welch, and his granddaughter Creya Casale.
A memorial service will be given at Pistey Funeral Home, 2155 Main Street, Stratford, CT on Thursday, May 6, 2021 between the hours of 5 and 8 p.m.
