Opportunity Zone Community Meeting

At a recent Stratford Democratic Town Committee meeting Chairwoman Stephanie Phillips and Town Council Representative for the 3rd District Wali Kadeem announced they will be holding an informational meeting about the proposed "Opportunity Zone".

The meeting will be held May 8th 7pm at the Birdseye Complex located on Birdseye street.

A copy of the original application to the state for "Opportunity Zones" was given to SDTC members last night. Mayor Hoydick had included 4 tracks for the application. #804, #802, #806, and #810. Gov. Dannel Malloy placed #804 on the list of nominations.

Zone 804 is located in the Southend section of Stratford and is zoned for retail commercial, light industrial, multi-family residential, and one family residential.

All residents residing in the opportunity zone are urged to come to this informational meeting.
