Over 50 Coronavirus Deaths, Nearly 600 Cases In Stratford
Monday's numbers marked an increase of four deaths and 12 cases in Stratford since Saturday.
STRATFORD, CT — More than 50 Stratford residents had died after contracting the new coronavirus as of Monday, according to the mayor's office.
The town had 52 deaths and 595 confirmed cases, Mayor Laura Hoydick said Monday in an email to residents. Monday's numbers marked an increase of four deaths and 12 confirmed cases since Saturday.
Across Connecticut as of Monday, there were 61 more deaths and 24 fewer net hospitalizations reported, along with 886 positive cases out of 2,837 tests. The total number of confirmed deaths is now at 2,566.

The state also saw its 12th consecutive day of fewer new coronavirus hospitalizations along with slightly fewer daily reported deaths. Fairfield, Hartford and New Haven counties are on the downward trend of coronavirus infections, Gov. Ned Lamont said.
