Parking Ban Issued For Stratford Due To Wintry Weather

The ban was announced as snow fell Sunday in Stratford.

STRATFORD, CT — The town of Stratford has issued a parking ban amid wintry weather Sunday. The ban to accommodate snowplows began Sunday afternoon and will remain in place for 48 hours, according to Chief of Staff to the Mayor Mike Downes. Under the ban, parking is permitted only on the odd-numbered side of the road.

Stratford is projected to see a mix of snow, freezing rain and sleet throughout the afternoon Sunday, followed by rain overnight, a mix of rain and snow Monday, and snow Monday night and into Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

The area is under a Hazardous Weather Outlook. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 7 a.m. Tuesday and a Coastal Flood Advisory is in effect through 5 a.m. Monday.
