The owners announced with "heavy hearts" that the deli is closing its doors for good.
STRATFORD, CT — Hudson’s Deli on Main Street in Stratford is closing its doors for good on Wednesday, Nov. 27. The owners announced with “heavy hearts” that the deli is closing after more than six years in business.
“As you may have heard, Hudson’s Deli will be closing its doors permanently at the close of business on November 27th,” the owners wrote in a post on Facebook. “We want to thank everyone for your patronage over the last 6 ½ years. We made a lot of friends and shared some good laughs. We will miss you all.
“We could not have had the success that we did without you. It breaks our hearts to close our doors but family always comes before everything else. So with heavy hearts, we say thank you and goodbye to Stratford. We wish you all well.”

The news saddened fans of the deli. One customer wrote, “WOW! I will miss you all when I come to visit. I hope this is a good thing for you. I am glad I was able to share laughs with you. You are all wonderful. Best of luck to you. Xoxox”
Another fan wrote, “I always liked stopping by to buy a ginger ale and kid around with everyone there, I will miss all of you and I wish you all Success in your next endeavor.”

Hudson’s Deli is located at 2377 Main St. and will close for good at 4 p.m. on Nov. 27.
