Post-Holiday Coronavirus Cases Reported By Stratford Schools
With students learning remotely until at least Jan. 19, the number of people required to quarantine due to close contact is low.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford students won’t be back in the classroom until Jan. 19 at the earliest, but the school district has reported numerous post-holiday coronavirus cases within school communities since teachers and students returned Monday to online-only learning.
Officials disclosed 31 cases within 10 Stratford school communities the first week after break, but with students learning remotely, the number of people required to quarantine due to close contact was low as the week drew to a close.

- Johnson House Elementary School, 9
- Chapel Elementary School, 4
- Victoria Soto Elementary School, 3
- Eli Whitney Elementary School, 2
- Second Hill Lane Elementary School, 2
- Wilcoxson Elementary School, 1
District-wide as of early Sunday, 17 students and 12 staff members were in isolation with the virus, and 25 students and staffers were quarantined, compared to the 290 quarantined Dec. 23, the day before the start of the holiday break, according to the district dashboard, which reflects the most current available numbers.
