Sterling House to Host 80th Consecutive Year of Summer Day Camp

Camp registration opens on Saturday, March 6th; slots will fill up fast

STRATFORD (Thursday, March 4, 2021) - Sterling House Community Center has announced its annual Summer Day Camp will begin to accept registrations this coming Saturday, March 6th, at 10 a.m. with special early bird rates.

Online registrations are encouraged. To register beginning at 10 a.m. on March 6, go to: www.sterlinghousecc.org/summer-camp.

SHCC Summer Camp consists of five, two-week sessions and runs for a total of 10 weeks. The Day Camp runs Monday through Friday starting on Monday, June 21. The regular camp day runs from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with an extended day option beginning at 7:30 a.m. and running until 6 p.m.

All-inclusive pricing for camp activities include swimming in the SHCC outdoor pool, popsicle parties, camp theme events, playground time, arts & crafts, free lunch, basketball, other sports, a bounce house, and more!

There are also opportunities for high school aged youth to become a Sterling House Summer Day Camp Camp Counselor-in-Training, or Junior Counselors, as well as adult Camp Counselor openings. Visit Sterling House’s website for these opportunities and more information.

The mission of the Sterling House Summer Day Camp is to create a safe environment where campers can have fun and feel good about themselves while making new friends and discovering the world around them.

The goal is to send campers home happy, dirty, tired, and eager to return!
