Stratford Boy, 7, Meets TV Icon On ‘The Ellen DeGeneres Show’
Geography expert Nate Seltzer, 7, made another appearance on 'Ellen' and this time squared off against TV legend Henry Winkler in a contest.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford's celebrity geography expert, 7-year-old Nate Seltzer, appeared on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" again this week and squared off against TV legend Henry Winkler in a game of “Are You Smarter Than Two Kid Geography Experts?” Nate, who has become a frequent guest on the show, was again reunited with his new best friend 6-year-old Landon Gregory from Oklahoma, a fellow geography expert.
Landon made his first appearance on the show earlier this year and was surprised with a visit from Nate. In Landon's segment, he told Ellen that he began learning geography in mid-July of 2018 and wants to be best friends with Nate because he's "just like me." Ellen then surprised the geography whiz kids with tickets to Disneyland to kick off their new friendship.
Ellen welcomed the boys back to the show on Tuesday, May 7, and they told her that they’ve become pen pals and found out they have a lot in common, including little sisters they find annoying.

The boys then went up against Winkler, famous for his role of Fonzie in ‘Happy Days’ and a recent Emmy Award winner for his role in ‘Barry,’ in a game of “Are You Smarter Than Two Kid Geography Experts?” During the segment, Nate shouted out “Connecticut” as the answer for when Connecticut’s image was shown and Winkler said “How do you know?” and Nate excitedly said “I live there.”
(Spoiler alert): The boys won the contest and Ellen is sending them both on a trip to Legoland. Watch both segments below:
