Stratford Boys’ Basketball Beats Barlow In Season Opener

The team honored its five seniors in the Senior Night victory.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford boys’ basketball team opened the long-awaited season with a 60-52 victory over Joel Barlow on Monday night. It was the team’s first game in the school’s new gymnasium.

Jayquan Kirkland led the Red Devils with 22 points, Brady Knorr added 17 points, and Mike D'aloia added eight points.

Grayson Vanderburg led Joel Barlow with 16 points.

Stratford honored its five seniors on Senior Night: Yavier Cosme-Diaz, Fenley Turenne, George Eyerman, Scott Knorr, and Mike D'aloia.

The Red Devils were scheduled to play Pomperaug on Thursday at 7:15 p.m. The game can be streamed live on the NFHS Network.
