Stratford Boys’ Basketball Drops Heartbreaker To Brookfield

Stratford will square off against town rival Bunnell on Tuesday night.

STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford boys’ basketball team lost a 56-54 heartbreaker to Brookfield Saturday at Stratford High School.

The Red Devils held the lead for the entire game until Brookfield rallied in the fourth quarter with 26 points, including six 3-pointers.

Jayquan Kirkland scored a team-high 22 points for Stratford and Brady Knorr added 15.

Stratford (3-2) will face town rival Bunnell (3-2) at Stratford High School at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will be broadcast on the NFHS Network.
