Stratford Falls To Kolbe Cathedral In SWC Semifinals
Stratford's season came to an end with a loss in the South-West Conference semifinals.
STRATFORD, CT — The Stratford High School boys’ basketball team finished its season with a loss in the South-West Conference tournament semifinals on Monday night.
Kolbe Cathedral defeated Stratford 58-32 at the Sheehan Center to advance to the finals. Kolbe Cathedral, the tournament’s top seed, then lost to second-seeded Notre Dame-Fairfield 70-62 in the championship game Thursday night in Brookfield.
Jayquan Kirkland led the Red Devils with 16 points in the loss to Kolbe Cathedral.

Three Stratford players were recognized for outstanding play in the SWC.
Jayquan Kirkland made the All-SWC Conference Team while Brady Knorr and Mike D’Aloia made the All-Colonial Division team.
