Stratford High 2021 Boys Cross Country Sign Ups Start Now

Those wanting to sign up for the 2021 Stratford High School Boys Cross Country team may do so now.

Stratford High School School Athletic Director, Mr. Anthony DeAngelo, has announced that sign-ups for all 2021 Stratford High School Fall Sports are now underway. Detailed registration instructions are below.

The Stratford High Cross Country Team is affiliated within the Colonial Division of the highly competitive South West Conference. All races are 5 Kilometres (3.1 miles).

Three notes of interest for the SHS Boys team are the first day of practice is slated for August 26th at a site to be determined.

A team meeting will take place on or about August 16th at Longbrook Park.

Those interested in getting an early start in cross country training may contact, via an email, team members Joshua Kydes and Amos Colocho.

Kydes (Senior) is in his fourth year of service with the SHS XC Team.

Colocho (Junior) is in his third year of service with the team.

Both have maintained well respected reputations in the South West Conference.

***** SHS Athletics Registration *****

Registration for Athletics is now available using the E-Collect feature within the PowerSchool Portal. This process should be far easier than FamilyID as all student and parent information is already entered into the account, as well as making the registration process much more secure. Instructions on how to access the E-Collect portion of PowerSchool portal are included in the following the instructions below. NOTE THAT YOU MUST USE A DESKTOP OR LAPTOP COMPUTER
1. Go to https://stratfordk12.powerschool.com
2. Sign in using your username and password.
3. Select the child for which you are completing the athletic registration for at the top left of the screen.
4. Click on E-Collect Forms on the left.
5. Under the section for “Stratford Athletics”, you will find 3 registration forms that you and your child will need to complete. Students will follow steps 1-5 as well, in order to complete their portion of the athletic registration process.
6. After you are done with a form, click SUBMIT at the bottom right of the form. This will bring you to the next form that needs to be completed.
7. Your registration will be pending until it is reviewed and accepted by the Athletic Director. If there is an issue with your application, the AD will contact you directly.
NOTE: To receive email notifications when forms requiring approval by school administration are accepted, please do the following:
1. While logged into the Parent Portal, click E-collect Forms on the left.
2. Then click on E-collect Preferences on the top right of the screen.
3. Then select Yes for Enable Parent Notifications and fill in your email below.
4. Click save Athletic Registration. To complete the Athletic Registration, you will need to register for a PowerSchool Parent Portal account. Please contact your child’s school in order to create a PowerSchool Single Sign On account.
