Stratford Man Hit By Vehicle On Merritt Parkway: Report

STRATFORD, CT — A Stratford man was seriously injured Thursday night after being hit by a vehicle on the Merritt Parkway in Greenwich, the Greenwich Time reports. State Police said he was hit after stopping to help a man with a disabled vehicle on the shoulder of Route 15 north.

According to the Greenwich Time, the impact from a collision between two other vehicles trying to avoid the Stratford man's vehicle caused one of the impacted vehicles to veer off the road and hit the Stratford man. He was taken to a hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said.
