Stratford Man Seriously Hurt After Scooter Hit By Car, Police Say
The 36-year-old scooter driver was struck by a car in Bridgeport, police said in a report.
BRIDGEPORT, CT — A Stratford man was seriously injured after he was hit Friday while driving a scooter in Bridgeport, according to police.
The incident occurred about 8 p.m. at Boston Avenue and Remington Street, when the 36-year-old scooter driver was struck by a car driven by a 29-year-old man from Mount Vernon, New York, police said in a report.
After the crash, the Mount Vernon man immediately drove the Stratford man to Bridgeport Hospital, according to the report, and later returned to the scene and spoke with police. Law enforcement was notified about the incident just before 10 p.m. by Bridgeport Hospital, the report said. Upon arriving at the scene, police found the scooter had already been removed, according to the report.

The Stratford man was eventually transferred to Yale New Haven Hospital, the report said.
