Stratford Nearing 700 Confirmed Coronavirus Cases
There had been 64 virus-associated deaths in Stratford as of Wednesday.
STRATFORD, CT — Stratford is nearing 700 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, according to an email Wednesday from the mayor's office.
As of Wednesday, the town had 685 confirmed cases, a week-over-week increase of 83 cases, the email to residents from Mayor Laura Hoydick said. Week-over-week, there were 10 additional virus-associated deaths, bringing the town total to 64 fatalities.
Connecticut had another 522 positive coronavirus cases reported Wednesday. The state total was 34,855 confirmed cases as of Wednesday. The positive case rate for administered tests was a little higher than 10 percent; the past few days the rate was under 10 percent. Deaths rose by 84 to 3,125 total. Net hospitalizations continued to decline with 31 fewer patients compared to Tuesday.
