Stratford’s Griswold Home Care Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Griswold Home Health Care was recently recognized for 30 years of senior care in Fairfield County.

STRATFORD, CT — Mayor Laura Hoydick recently honored Stratford’s own Griswold Home Care on 30 years of senior care in Fairfield County.

Hoydick presented co-founder Cathy Howard with a proclamation recognizing Griswold's 30th anniversary in a ceremony last week.

Howard and her mother Frances Malafronte began what would become Griswold Home Care in 1991 through the struggle they faced finding quality, affordable health care for Cathy’s grandfather, according to Hoydick.

“The innovative company is constantly breaking new ground in elevating the home care experience for families and their loved ones, with a team of dedicated and experienced caregivers,” reads a post on Hoydick’s Facebook page. “The company is now transitioning into its third generation of strong female leadership as Cathy’s daughters have ascended to important roles with Kelly Howard managing the Bethel/Danbury and Norwalk locations of Griswold, and Jess Howard-Rodd managing the original Stratford location.

“During this anniversary celebration Griswold Home Care is asking the community to support a great cause with a donation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in honor of our founder, Jean Griswold, who persevered through her own struggles with MS. It’s as simple as a click and costs you nothing! They ask that you share the post directly from their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GriswoldHomeCareStratford to ensure all donations are accurately counted!”
