Stratford Schools Coronavirus Update: One Class To Quarantine

All told, three positive cases were identified this week in Stratford Public School communities.

STAFFORD, CT — Stratford Public School this week announced it has identified three positive cases of the coronavirus, leading to one class quarantining for two weeks.

In a case update, the school announced it had identified one positive case at Franklin Elementary, another at Wooster Middle School and one in its administration center.

Close contacts of the person who tested positive at Franklin Elementary were set to be notified on Wednesday. The school said Ms. Lizotte's class will continue to quarantine until April 22 as a result of the case. It's unclear if the positive case was a student or staff member.

Families are urged to report positive coronavirus tests to the school's principal and head nurse by emailing velazquezk@stratk12.org.

Families of students, along with staff members, are asked to complete the school's spring break travel survey to indicate if they left the area during the April 12 to 16 break.

"We understand that these are stressful times for all of us; we appreciate your cooperation and your support as we navigate through these unsettling times," the school wrote in its update. "We, too, have families with school aged children, so we know what a great impact changes in school schedules can make."
