Stratford Schools Report New Coronavirus Cases

Quarantine numbers are significantly lower than those seen during many weeks in the fall, according to the most recent available totals.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford schools reported several new coronavirus cases during the past week, although quarantine numbers among students and staff are significantly lower than those seen during many weeks in the fall.

The school district notified community members of the following cases in emails sent Tuesday and Wednesday:

  • Stratford High School, 3
  • Bunnell High School, 1
  • Wooster Middle School, 1
  • Eli Whitney Elementary School, 2
  • Franklin Elementary School, 1
  • Chapel Elementary School, 1
  • Nichols Elementary School, 1
  • Lordship Elementary School, 1
  • Second Hill Lane Elementary School, 1

District-wide as of early Saturday, 29 students and 11 staff members were in isolation with the virus, and 100 students and staffers were quarantined, according to the district dashboard, which reflects the most current available numbers.

The newest totals follow a recent return to the district’s hybrid learning model after several weeks of online-only education, and show a noticeably lower number of community members quarantined compared to the fall, when several hundred students and staff members were sometimes in quarantine.
