Stratford Star Editor Passes

Star Editor Melvin Mason Passes Away

The Stratford Star announced today that their Editor, Melvin Mason has passed away.

Mr. Mason, of Derby, was 43 years old and leaves behind a wife, as well as family and friends. Mr. Mason was the current Editor of The Stratford Star. A graduate of Syracuse University, he was also a former journalist for the Darien Times and had over 10 years of journalistic experience in Southwestern Connecticut. Mr. Mason was a beloved member of the Stratford community. From covering Board of Education issues to local politics, Mr. Mason covered it all. He was an intergral part of the paper and the Town of Stratford and for that he will have our eternal thanks.
