Stratford Town Hall Open By Appointment Only Due To Coronavirus
The change to Town Hall operations will begin Monday.

STRATFORD, CT — With coronavirus cases on the rise across the state and in Stratford, the mayor has ordered town administrative offices be closed to the public and available by appointment only. The order, made in an attempt to curb the spread of virus, will be effective Monday, according to a town news release.
Offices will be staffed and accessible by phone or email, but employees will begin teleworking and following staggered, alternating schedules for in-person availability, as was previously done in the spring.
“These measures are meant to protect both residents and town employees, and reduce the opportunities for spread of the virus," Mayor Laura Hoydick said in the news release. "Our staff remains available to town residents, and I encourage those who have business with our offices to transact as much of it as possible online or over the phone before seeking an in-person appointment.”

Staff will also be expected to reduce contact with one another while in Town Hall by opting not to hold unnecessary face-to-face meetings when business can be conducted and information can be exchanged by phone or email. Employees, and those who are given appointments at town offices, will be required to wear a mask covering their face and nose, and abide by social distancing protocols.
A directory of town offices and contact numbers and emails is available at www.townofstratford.com/departments.
