Stratford's 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Guide, Scheduled Time

STRATFORD, CT – July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Stratford so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store for the holiday in Stratford:

Fireworks

When: About 9 p.m. July 3. Rain date is July 5.

Where: Short Beach Park, 1 Dorne Drive.

Summary: The fireworks display begins right after sunset. Drivers without a town resident vehicle sticker who enter the beach before 6 p.m. will be charged a $20 non-resident fee, according to the town of Stratford. The beach sticker that expires June 30, 2019, will be accepted. Booths for admission will be staffed 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Short Beach Golf Course will be closed for regular park activity the day of the fireworks. Parking rules will be enforced. Pets are not permitted at Short Beach, with the exception of certified service animals. Bicyclists must walk bikes upon entering the Short Beach compound. The beach will be closed following the fireworks display. For more information, call 203-385-4029.
