Stratford's Peter F. Carroll Led Local Parade as Grand Marshal
Mayor Laura Hoydick among the many Dignitaries Attending Parade Honoring Peter Carroll
Peter Carroll, a longtime Stratford resident, was the 2019 Grand Marshal of the 37th Greater Bridgeport St Patrick's Day Parade on March 15, 2019. Carroll is Business Manager of International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Local 488, President of the Fairfield County Building Trades and a member of the well-known philanthropic family. Carroll rode in a horse and buggy along with his wife Joan, while his four grandchildren, two daughters and sons in law followed in a horse drawn wagon.
Stratford Mayor Laura Hoydick was among the many elected officials attending the event including Governor Ned Lamont, Congressman Jim Himes, Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim, Trumbull First Selectwoman Vicki Tesoro, Shelton Mayor Mark Lauretti and dozens of others. The parade that was heralded as the largest ever, was attended by many Stratford residents.
