Teen Fired Gun In Stratford; Had Assault Rifle, 20 Pounds THC: PD
During the teen's arrest, police seized an SKS assault rifle with ammunition and about 20 pounds of THC, according to law enforcement.

STRATFORD, CT — A teen accused of firing a gun on Halloween night in Stratford was in possession of an assault rifle and about 20 pounds of THC when he was arrested, according to law enforcement.
Tyrese Pridgen, 19, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday in the 100 block of Norman Street in Bridgeport, Stratford police said in a news release.
"Pridgen was identified as the person responsible for several gun shots in the area of Sands Place in Stratford on the night of 10-31-2020," the news release said. "There were no injuries during the shots fired incident."

During Pridgen's arrest, police seized an SKS assault rifle with ammunition and about 20 pounds of THC, according to the news release.
Pridgen is charged with reckless endangerment, possession of an assault weapon, possession of a high-capacity magazine, having a weapon in a vehicle and possession of narcotics with intent to sell, police said. Stratford police initially sent out a news release stating Pridgen had been charged with numerous other offenses, but distributed an amended news release with a different list of charges about an hour later.

Pridgen's bond was set at $150,000, and he is scheduled to appear in court Nov. 20, according to police.
This story has been corrected to reflect changes provided by the Stratford Police Department. The department did not immediately explain discrepancies between its initial news release and a second news release, which included a different court date, bond and list of charges.
