Victim In Stratford Homicide Identified: Police
The investigation was ongoing Friday and police were speaking with people of interest, but had not yet made any arrests, officials said.

STRATFORD, CT — Stratford police are continuing to investigate a homicide after a 37-year-old Bridgeport man was fatally shot in Stratford, according to law enforcement.
Police were notified Wednesday that the victim, Anthony Martinez, had been shot and was at Bridgeport Hospital, Stratford police said in a news release. Hospital staff told law enforcement the shooting happened in Stratford, and, after interviewing people at the hospital, officers determined the shooting occurred in the 400 block of Burrit Avenue, according to police.
The investigation was ongoing Friday and police were speaking with people of interest, the news release said, but there had not yet been any arrests as of Friday morning.
