2 Firefighters Suffer Injuries Battling Trumbull House Fire

The fire occurred on Thursday on Academy Road.

TRUMBULL, CT — Two firefighters suffered injuries Thursday morning while battling a house fire on Academy Road in Trumbull, according to fire officials.

The injuries, which were not disclosed, were not described as a threat to life, and both firefighters were treated by Trumbull EMS. No other injuries were reported.

The fire was reported at 10:20 a.m., and it took just over an hour for firefighters from the Long Hill, Trumbull Center and Nichols fire departments to bring it under control.

The Connecticut Post writes that 35 firefighters battled the blaze, which displaced a family of four.

Members of the Trumbull Fire Marshal's Office are investigating the fire.
