55+ Community Groundbreaking Celebrated In Trumbull

A 130-unit 55+ retirement community is scheduled to be completed by spring 2021.

TRUMBULL, CT — Government officials and developers celebrated the groundbreaking of the Resort Lifestyle Communities River Valley Retirement Community.

The 130-unit senior living community is scheduled to be completed by spring 2021 at its 101 Oakview Drive location. The estimated cost of the project is $30 million.

The development will feature a bank, pharmacy, gift shop, salon and 150-seat movie theater, which are all open to the public.

"Collaborating with forward-looking partners and local leaders like Vickie Tesoro, Marilyn Moore, and Dan Onofrio, to name a few, further enhances our continued expansion in developing senior living communities of superior quality,” said Kelly Jo Hinrichs, vice president of marketing for Resort Lifestyle Communities. “River Valley will offer an exceptionally life-enriching lifestyle to seniors in Trumbull and surrounding areas offering them peace of mind.”

The development company is also working on a South Windsor project that should be completed by summer 2020.
