Bear Sightings Reported In Trumbull: Police

No injuries have been reported, but Trumbull police and animal control officers urge residents not to try to feed or get close to the bears.

TRUMBULL, CT — Bears have been spotted in Trumbull multiple times in recent weeks, and while no injuries have been reported, Trumbull police and animal control officers urge residents not to feed or make contact with them.

The most recent sightings were reported Friday morning by residents in the Barnswallow Drive, Scenic Hill Road and Deer Run areas, as the bear tried to get into garbage and bird feeders.

"A bear has recently been reported to go to doors of homes to try to get inside, and one incident was reported where a bear went on to a deck while the resident was outside cooking," police wrote on Facebook.
