Car Thefts Continue In Trumbull
Six cars were stolen during the first two weeks in August.

TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Police are investigating another wave of car thefts with six vehicles being stolen in the first two weeks of August. There were also numerous car burglaries.
None of the cars that were stolen or burglarized were locked and the ones that were stolen had the keys inside, said Lt. Brian Weir, police spokesman.
"This trend of thefts is not new or sudden. However, it has been a growing problem where officers have seen a gradual increase in thefts from driveways," Weir said.
