Connecticut Chamber Choir presents The Road Home

Connecticut Chamber Choir presents The Road Home, on Sunday, May 5, 2019, 4:00 pm, at Nichols United Methodist Church, Trumbull, CT. Constance Chase conducts her final concert as Artistic Director, concluding eleven successful seasons at its helm. Since 2008 Ms. Chase has continued to develop the group into the polished ensemble it is today. Pairing innovative programming with distinguished and emerging guest artists, she has delighted audiences with engaging musical experiences and expanded the ensemble’s artistic footprint.

The Road Home features guest artist Krista Adams Santilli in her first return engagement to the area since relocating to Nashville, TN. The highly-regarded soprano will be heard in Ēriks Ešenvalds’ Only in Sleep, and Stephen Paulus’ The Road Home. The program opens with Behold! I Build An House by Lukas Foss, includes Randall Thompson’s beloved Frostiana in its entirety, and concludes with Abide by Dan Forrest, with CCC’s collaborative accompanist Galen Tate at the piano.
