Coronavirus Cancels Trumbull Memorial Day Parade
First Selectman Vicki Tesoro said the decision to cancel the parade wasn't an easy one.
TRUMBULL, CT — The 2020 Trumbull Memorial Day parade originally scheduled for May 25 has been canceled due to the new coronavirus pandemic.
A wreath-laying ceremony will be conducted if it is safe to do so.
“I do not make this decision easily. The Trumbull Memorial Day Parade is an important way for the residents of Trumbull to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country," said First Selectman Vicki Tesoro. "Even though we must cancel this year’s parade, I look forward to properly honoring our fallen heroes, hopefully this Fall.”
