Garden Club Continues Holiday Tradition
Nichols Garden Club creates mailbox covers for sale in Holiday Boutique
Nichols Garden Club members will gather immediately following Thanksgiving at the Starkweather House on Huntington Turnpike to make mailbox covers, wreaths, and centerpieces -- something they have done for a quarter of a century and what has become a holiday ritual for the club.
The mailbox covers, cost $25 and are all unique, although they are based on the original design of the club founder Jean Horsey. There will also be many other beautifully crafted holiday items for sale.
The Holiday Boutique will be held on:

Come check out the boutique, and enjoy this wonderful tradition! After the sale the members will use their talents to decorate the streets of Nichols by hanging festive hand crafted street swags along Huntington Turnpike. Neighbors who plan to remove trees are asked for donations of evergreens. Variety is the key, spruce, pines, firs, arborvitae, and cedar, all work well in the arrangements.
