Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued For Parts Of CT
The southern part of the state could get very heavy rainfall and severe thunderstorms. The north could get thunderstorms as well.

CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for southern Connecticut due to a strong storm system that is predicted to roll through Tuesday. A low pressure system could bring in very heavy rainfall, flash flooding and severe thunderstorms.
The NWS predicts that the worst of the storm will come into Connecticut Tuesday afternoon or night, but it’s exact track and intensity is still in question. The hazardous weather outlook applies to Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties.
Rain amounts up to 1.5 inches are possible. Severe thunderstorms could come with damaging winds as well.

Northern Connecticut will have a chance of thunderstorms, but they aren’t predicted to be as severe as the southern part of the state. Rainfall of up to half an inch is predicted for northern Connecticut.

Sunny, with a high near 84. West wind 5 to 11 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

A 20 percent chance of showers after 2am. Partly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southwest wind 6 to 10 mph.
Tuesday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. High near 83. Southwest wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 67. Southwest wind around 6 mph becoming north after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
Wednesday
A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77.
