Latest July 4 Forecast Calls For Rain Chance In Parts Of CT

It looks like the high heat will be sticking around in Connecticut for several more days. On top of that the we might see showers and thunderstorms during peak 4th of July picnic time.

The southern part of the state will see a heat index as high as 99 degrees Tuesday during the day and a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 10 p.m. in the evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Chances for a thunderstorm in the southern part of the state on July 4 have subsided.

In the northern part of the state there is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms and showers after 11 a.m.

Today’s heat index will reach as high as 104 in the northern part of the state.
