Is the Tide Turning?
On October 19th around 125 people prayed in a Living Rosary for an End to Abortion in America at St. Margaret’s Shrine in Bridgeport. The intentions of the five Rosary decades were asking God (1) to protect the lives of children in the womb, (2) to give hope and strength to mothers of unborn children, (3) to stir love in the hearts of fathers to support and cherish mother and child, (4) to lead parents who had abortions to repentance and healing, to cause our elected leaders and courts to recognize and protect the personhood of unborn children, to convert the abortionist and those who deny the Birthright of Children, (5) to stir up church leaders to proclaim a Culture of Life and to grant those assembled the courage and energy to be a Defender of Life.
On October 12th over 11,000 assemblies in public squares across the country prayed the Rosary for America’s return to virtue. From September 25th through November 3rd, people in 320 cities are praying outside abortion clinics. As a result of prior 40 Days for Life efforts, over 7,500 mothers have told prayer vigil volunteers that they decided not to kill their unborn child.
Over 80 abortion workers told prayer vigil volunteers that they quit their job, including 3 facility managers who are now active in the prolife movement. Additionally 41 abortion facilities have closed where prayer vigils have been held. In CT, the number of reported abortions has declined for 5 consecutive year and 4 of the 10 surgical abortion facilities have closed.
On the other side, Planned Parenthood, the nation’s and state’s largest abortion executioner, expecting to collect windfall government funds through Obamacare, is renovating its facilities. More people at killed on any given Saturday at the Summit Woman’s Center in Bridgeport than in the rest of Bridgeport over an entire year. Kermit Gosnell, the convicted murderer who severed the spinal cords of hundreds of born‑alive infants in the course of his abortion procedures, wrote a poem to explain why he is a hero rather than a villain: One can
Merely imagine
The pathroads
Of those who are “throwed.” [away as in aborted or executed after the abortion]
Gosnell has proclaimed he is “Spiritually Innocent.” He is not, and neither are we if we remain silent.
