Make-A-Wish® CT Walk Event In Trumbull May 15

After five years, this year’s annual Walk For Wishes is safely coming back to Trumbull on Saturday, May 15 from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at their brand new Wishing Place, located at 56 Commerce Drive!

This is the perfect activity for folks who are itching to get out for some safe and amazing weekend fun where families and teams walk to raise money to help make wishes come true for kids with critical illnesses.

The Connecticut chapter is dedicated to hosting a safe, in-person event following all COVID protocols. Participants need to register for a one-hour timeslot and will walk with their immediate group – masked and staggered at a safe distance from other teams and walkers. Or, participants can walk virtually at a location of their choice.

The Walk For Wishes is the first public, in-person event at Make-A-Wish Connecticut’s new home. It takes walkers on a 1.6-mile paved route through the new Make-A-Wish campus, with lots of special surprises and giveaways along the way, like a scavenger hunt with a magician, balloon artist and FREE ICE CREAM, to name just a few! Plus, participants will have the opportunity to receive a sneak peak of the chapter’s new Wishing Place before it officially opens in September.

To add to the excitement, Sarah Cody from WTNH News8 will be the event’s em cee throughout the activity and music-filled morning, thanks to the Star 99.9 Street Team playing today’s best mix.

Since last year's Walk For Wishes®, Make-A-Wish® has granted more than 15,000 wishes nationwide - more than 100 in our community alone - for children with critical illnesses. These life-changing wishes give children renewed energy and strength, bring families closer together and unite communities.
