Obit: Angela Farina, 98, Of Trumbull

Angela M. Farina (Sette) 98 of Trumbull, CT. passed away in her sleep in the early morning hours of May 9, 2020.

She was born to Salvatore Sette and Concetta Lizza Sette, October 17, 1921 in Bridgeport, CT. and was the second youngest of seven children. In a household of five boys and two girls Angela always said she was spoiled rotten by her brothers. She graduated from Central High school and went on to study nursing at St. Vincent's Hospital. She received her RN nursing degree in 1942 after her residency at Columbia Presbyterian in NYC.

Angela was married to the late Frank Farina and they resided in Trumbull, CT. with their two children, Frank Farina Jr. of Germany and Irene Weintraub of New York. She is also survived by her son in law Jeffrey Weintraub and Granddaughters Lara and Dayna Weintraub of Boston, Mass. and Liliana Farina of Manchester, England.

In addition to being a loving mother and wife, Angela worked as an RN for over 40 years at Bridgeport Hospital and St. Vincent's Medical Center. After retiring, she volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Vincent's Hospital for many years and was an active member of the Agape Prayer Community in Bridgeport for over 38 years. Her love of God and deep devotion to prayer and family is what gave her such a long and fulfilling life.

Funeral services were held at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Trumbull, CT on May 12 for the immediate family.

A mass and celebration of her life will follow in the near future.
