Bye, Crown Victoria, and hello Ford Interceptor.
"With the disappearance of the Ford Crown Victoria, Trumbull Police have turned to the Ford Explorer Interceptor for its new fleet. The new cruisers have the added bonus of being four wheel drive for those deep snow storms that we've seen in previous years," said Deputy Police Chief Michael Harry.
The department has three Ford Interceptors now and by January there should be three more, Harry said. Six other cruisers are being moved to the Detective Bureau.
A new seventh vehicle will be ordered for the department's Traffic Division, police said.
